Mezzosoprano Alžběta Vomáčková graduated from the Prague Conservatory in 2013 and the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 2019.
She has been the prize winner of numerous competitions, such as the 2nd prize at International Singing Competition Ferruccio Tagliavini, Deutschlandsberg – Graz in Austria, the 3rd prize at Imrich Godin International Singing Competition Iuventus Canti, Vráble in Slovakia, the 2nd and the 3rd prize (Junior) at Antonín Dvořák’s International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.
In 2012 she made her guest appearance in the role of Ježibaba (Rusalka) at the North Bohemian Opera and Ballet Theatre Ustí nad Labem.
She regularly appears at the F. X. Šalda Theater in Liberec, J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice, Revolving Open-Air Theatre Český Krumlov, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, Gerhart Hauptmann-Theater in Görlitz and the National Theater in Prague, where she made her debut in 2015 in the role of Fyodor in Boris Godunov by M. Mussorgsky.
In 2018 she made her debut in the role of Tigrana (Edgar) at the St. Galler Festspiele in Switzerland. The following year 2019 at the Theater St. Gallen the audience could see her in the part of Foreign Princess in the production of Rusalka by Vera Nemirova.
She performed as Amneris (Aida), Preziosilla (La Forza del Destino), Fenena (Nabucco), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Joan of Arc (The Maid of Orleans), Tigrana (Edgar), Nicklausse (Les Contes d´Hoffmann), Siebel (Faust), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), Third lady (Die Zauberflöte), Ježibaba, Kitchen boy, Third wood sprite (Rusalka), Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen), Hadač (Julietta) and many others.
She has been nominated by a jury of Professional for the 2013 Thalia Award in the category of Female Opera Singer in the role of Preziosilla in the production La Forza del Destino and in 2017 in the role of Jean of Arc in the production The Maid of Orleans at the F. X. Šalda Theater in Liberec.
She appeared in productions of directors J. Heřman, L. Keprtová, T. Kratzer, M. Lang, J. Nekvasil, M. Otava, T. Pilař, SKUTR, R. Vizváry etc.
She has performed under the baton of conductors including P. Altrichter, R. Baborák, T. Brauner, O. Dohnányi, M. Doubravský, E. Dovico, F. Drs, L. Husain, J. Chalupecký, P. Kofroň, J. Kyzlin, M. Pitrenas, M. De Rose, L. Svárovský, J. Štrunc, D. Švec and many others.
She has collaborated with such orchestras as the Prague Symphony Orchestra, The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Musica Florea, and many others.
She has appeared at prestigious international festivals in the Czech Republic including International Opera Festival Smetana’s Litomyšl, Young Prague Festival, and Jarmila Novotná Festival.
In 2016 she participated in a festival of Czech music in China where she performed alongside I. Ženatý, M. Kasík, P. Nouzovský, and K. Fialová.
